What is your favorite part about working at IDE?
Feeling valued as an employee
What do you think makes you unique as a team member?
I ask a lot of questions and I’m very inquisitive. I like to find an answer for every problem and get to the source of the problem.
What do you enjoy most about your job, and what are some of the challenges you face?
Accounting can become routine, but it’s challenging all the time. It is challenging because you don’t know what your day will be, but it still has a sense of routine.
Can you share a project or accomplishment you’re particularly proud of that you worked on during your time here?
I am proud of how quickly I “got up to speed” with the department and IDE processes, which helps me help my team members out.
How does IDE support your professional development, and what opportunities have you taken advantage of?
There are a lot of classes available that IDE encourages us to take advantage of that I am looking forward to taking advantage of in the future.
How do you collaborate with your colleagues and team members, and what qualities do you think are essential for effective teamwork?
Learning to be open with a new way of doing things. I try to ensure that I am always open to my team members when they have questions and I work to find an answer for every problem or question that arises.
How do you balance your work responsibilities with your personal life, and what strategies do you use to maintain that balance?
Just knowing which door you’re walking through and what is behind those doors. That helps me keep my personal and professional spaces separate and balanced.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I really like to go to the movies and traveling to new places. I love spending time with my kids also, and I have also started playing Bingo on Friday nights.
What is something that you are proud of about yourself?
Knowing that all my hard work has finally paid off
If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be and why?
St. Martin, I’ve always wanted to go to the Caribbean and this place just calls to me.
