FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Reports To: Service Manager/Foreman

Subordinates: None

 Recondition and Repair Equipment and Components

  • Plan methods and sequence of performing repairs assigned.
  • Order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs.
  • Ensure that all repairs are completed as assigned.
  • Ensure the cosmetic appearance upon completion as required.
  • Ensure all parts and materials not used are returned per guidelines.
  • Perform the repairs required in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition.
  • Bring to the attention of the Manager/Foreman any/all extra issues identified.

Maintain Good Working Records for Time, Parts, Supplies and Outside Purchases

  • All record keeping methods are followed per instructions.
  • All cost-related items are included in the job work order.
  • Ensure all records kept are legible or in compliance with established methods.

Maintain and Care for Shop Tools, Equipment and Vehicles

  • All specialty tools used on the job are obtained using the methods established.
  • All tools and special equipment used on repairs are cleaned before returning them.
  • All specialty tools used on jobs are returned to the original location in working condition.

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel 40% of the time
    • Company Phone Provided
    • Service Truck Provided
    • Rental Car Provided (you may keep/use the rewards earned)
    • Airfare Provided (you may keep/use the frequent flyer miles)
    • Hotel Provided (you may keep/use the rewards earned)
    • $150 boot voucher presented after 90 days, then presented yearly

Education/Training/Experience

  • A Technical College/School Certificate and/or equivalent mechanical field experience.

Specific Skill Requisites

  • A strong working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions.
  • Able to perform repairs for all major equipment systems.

PARTS SPECIALIST

Reports To: Parts Manager

Subordinates: None

  • Required 3-5 years minimum experience in industrial parts
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • SAP knowledge preferred but not required (will train)
  • Understand parts manuals and schematics
  • Create Purchase Orders to vender to obtain parts/materials
  • Place necessary orders for stock and customer needs.
  • Able to outsource and obtain parts from different avenues.
  • Assist service department in looking up and obtaining parts needed
  • Process orders from start to finish
  • Detail orientated
  • Able to multi-task
  • Clear and precise, verbal and written communication
  • Must have sense of urgency
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Able to put yourself in the customer’s shoes/perspective
  • A willingness to learn and be challenged
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Able to follow-up with customers and other departments in a timely manner
  • Represent IDE in a professional manner to customers, venders and coworkers.
  • Have fun, build and retain customer relationships

FABRICATION SPECIALIST

Reports To: Fabrication Manager

Subordinates: None                                                                            

  • Required 3-5 years minimum experience
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Able to weld heavy plate (commonly ½” to 1”)
  • Machine skills on manual lathe & manual mill (willing to train)
  • 1” Unlimited Certification (we will pay for Certification if you do not have)
  • Able to understand simple drawing dimension instructions
  • Accurate in building/designing/assembling
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Process orders from start to finish
  • Detail orientated
  • Able to multi-task
  • Clear and precise, verbal and written communication
  • Must have sense of urgency
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Able to put yourself in the customer’s shoes/perspective
  • A willingness to learn and be challenged
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Represent IDE in a professional manner to customers, venders and coworkers.
  • Have fun, build and retain customer relationships

Your Work Environment:

  • Mostly Indoor
  • Work Bays are 30’ by 30’
  • Mainly weld 0.045 duel shield, 0.045 LA-100 (stick arc welding is rarely performed outside)
  • IMT 450 miller welder, 12R miller feeder
  • Hypertherm power max 125
  • Victor torches
  • 450 amp and 600 amp water cooled tweco guns
  • Water cooled tig torch
  • Most tools/supplies provided
  • YOU provide YOUR welding helmet (we have extras just in case)
  • Work hours: Monday-Friday 9am to 5:30pm (overtime is sometimes encouraged)
