What is your favorite part about working at IDE?
That we’re a family and that we work together for the betterment of the company as a whole.
What do you think makes you unique as a team member?
We are always growing as a company. The ability to be a chameleon and evolve with the company overtime has definitely ensured my success with IDE.
What do you enjoy most about your job, and what are some of the challenges you face?
I enjoy building rapport and getting to know our customers from all over the country and in Canada. I’ve built strong, meaningful relationships with our customers throughout the years.
Can you share a project or accomplishment you’re particularly proud of that you worked on during your time here?
I am responsible for making sure cash is flowing into the company and that probably speaks for itself in a lot of ways. Keeping the wheels turning on money coming in is a top priority for the company as well as myself.
How do you stay motivated and engaged in your work, and what advice would you give to others who are struggling with motivation?
I honestly believe that when you like the company and the people you work for and you have good management, you really just want to do a good job for them. I appreciate the opportunity the Gazo’s have given to me and I want that to show in my work. Keeping an optimistic perspective certainly helps too!
How does IDE support your professional development, and what opportunities have you taken advantage of? IDE is always working to keep us up to date on the changing industry.
How do you collaborate with your colleagues and team members, and what qualities do you think are essential for effective teamwork?
I think it’s important to support your Teammates on their best & worst days. Keeping a positive attitude is essential and having good co-workers to keep you motivated definitely helps! We have a great team!
How do you balance your work responsibilities with your personal life, and what strategies do you use to maintain that balance?
The company as a whole values family and encourages a good balance of work and home life. To maintain a good balance, I try to keep them completely separated. I drop any personal issues at the door on the way in and leave my work responsibilities at work at the end of the day. I believe keeping the boundaries clear around each one helps to keep them from overlapping.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love spending time with my husband, our children, and our grandchildren. Family is my life outside of these walls.
What is something that you are proud of about yourself?
Being approachable for all my co-workers. Maybe it sounds silly, but I am glad that I give off the vibe that they can approach me about anything, and they know I will work to help them the best way I know how.
If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be and why?
Scotland. I would love to see Edinburgh Castle and Lake Loch Ness, maybe Nessie too!
